Call for applications PhD programme – European University Institute

The call for applications for the fully-funded PhD programme at the European University Institute (EUI) opened on 1 November 2025.

The Department of History at the EUI offers exceptional opportunities to study the history of Europe in the World from the 15th century to the present in the inspiring city of Florence, Italy. Among other areas, the EUI’s History department welcomes projects in the history of science and medicine, represented by Professor Lauren Kassell. Students interested in this area will also have the opportunity take part in the History of Science and Medicine Working Group and to follow dedicated seminars.
