Call for submissions: Vernède thesis prize for the history of nursing
The Vernède Thesis Prize is named after nurse Catharina Helena Vernède (1875-1957). She wrote the first Dutch handbook on the history of nursing in 1927. The thesis prize is awarded every two years and is presented around May 12, Florence Nightingale’s birthday. The history prize consists of a certificate and €1,000. The award ceremony took place for the first time on May 20, 2022 in Museum Boerhaave in Leiden.
The deadline for the next submission is January 1, 2024.
