Het vaccinatiedebat in de Biblebelt

Covid-19 has given an unexpected impulse to the vaccination debate. Although this debate nowadays goes beyond orthodox reformed christians, the Dutch Biblebelt is still noticably white on the vaccination map of The Netherlands. Now that the covid-19 vaccines have arrived, new questions are raised. Which are the religious objections exactly? In which medical-historical context has this debate evolved? What is the current practice in health care? What is the experience of general practitioners? What is the role of politics? In this online symposium (in Dutch), organised by the Dutch Bible Belt Network, we take stock of the current situation.
