History of Medicine and Health Seminars – Diseases of the Imagination and Cures of Violent Passion: Re-appraising Placebo and Nocebo in the History of Medicine
The History of Medicine and Health Brown Bag Seminars at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 12:00 to 13:00, and everyone is welcome to join. You can attend in person at Collaboratory E or tune in online (see the flyer for detailed locations per event). This year’s theme is “Imagination,” and the discussions will continue through Semester 2. The second seminar is organised on 2 October and will take place online. Rob Boddice (Tampere University) will talk about “Diseases of the Imagination and Cures of Violent Passion: Re-appraising Placebo and Nocebo in the History of Medicine”.
