What was epidemiology?

The University of Edinburgh is organising an early career workshop entitled: What was epidemiology? New perspectives on the history of an undisciplined field. The workshop is held June 14-17, 2021.

Under the overarching question “What was epidemiology?” the organisers want to open a forum for creative explorations of a new historiography of epidemiology in the long twentieth century (1890-2010). Given the Covid present, the workshop’s question will prompt reflections on the value of this history within an ongoing pandemic.

Deadline call for papers: April 9, 2021.
